The Interstate Environmental Commission is seeking an Environmental Analyst to serve as project manager for IEC’s Coordinated Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program.The incumbent will provide overall management and coordination for IEC’s Coordinated Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program and participate in and assist with the coordination of other monitoring programs,assist with laboratory analyses, prepare and distribute data summaries and reports.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, earth science, environmental health, natural science, or a related field along with related professional experience. Candidates should have a strong interest in, knowledge of water quality issues related to the tri-state area,experience with working with the public,as well as laboratory and field quality assurance/quality control and safety procedures. A proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team is required.This is a year-round position, with a particularly heavy workload May through September.
